Winter 2003/2004 Post-game reports

04/10/04 Freeze vs. Marlies - 4/3:  This is better, we like winning!!!

04/07/04 Freeze vs. Ice Cats - 2/6: Oops, you did it again!!!!!

03/27/04 Freeze vs. Kings - 4/7:  Well guys, another loss to the Kings.    Playoffs are not looking good.  You have 4 more games.  The next one is on Wed. April 7th at 10:00pm.  Please do some "pick-up" hockey between now and then so you are ready to face your next adversary.  Until next time, that is all.

03/22/04 Freeze vs. Old Devils - 5/5:  At least this was not a loss!  The Freeze have to win every game now to even think about the playoffs, come on guys, you can do it!  Congrats to the newly appointed "C", Chris (20) and the new "A", Hogie (9) who joins the continuing "A", Rob (77).  The next game will be Sat. night March 27th at 9:15pm.  See Ya'll there!  Oh, one more thing, a big OOOPPS goes out to the Freeze goalie, Rick (38), for scoring on himself with a puck shaken out of his pads....good job....;-)  and this time there was no help from George (13)!!!  GO FREEZE!!!

03/13/04 - Freeze vs. Nighthawks - 6/2:  Everyone skated better in this game...it was like the old Freeze again!  Whatever ya'll are doing, keep it up!!!  The Freeze need to win every game from now until the end of this season; this is the only way you will get to the playoffs!  There are 6 more games left.  Thanks to Steven Z. (7) for scoring  most of the points in this game.  The next game is Monday, March 22nd at 9:30pm.  Everyone please try to get in some pick-up hockey time between now and then.  See ya then!!!!!  GO FREEZE!!!!!

03/06/04 Freeze vs. Devils - 2/4:  This chalks another loss up for the Freeze.  This game was equal in players from both teams with 8 total skaters on each side.  The Freeze had 3 subs playing in this game which means that only 5 regular Freezers were in attendance, plus Rick the goalie.  Where were the rest of you?  Do ya'll even care about the team anymore?  Is anyone going to pick-up hockey between games to try to improve themselves?  Somethings gotta give if the Freeze want to make the playoffs!  Guys, you need to communicate with each other on and off the ice!  Let's get this show back on the road and start winning like the Freeze are used to doing!!!  See ya next week on Saturday night 03/13/04 at 9:15pm.  KICK SOME BUTT!!!!!

03/03/04 Freeze vs. Chiefs - 8/4: All-right guys!  You finally got it right, except for the injuries and suspensions.  Hogie is out for the rest of the season with "flu-like symptoms", aka separated shoulder; one of the spares, DD, is out with the same injury and Steve M.(4) is suspended for being a goon.   The playoffs are looking pretty far away with such a short bench now, but if the remaining Freezers pull together and play like a team, not a bunch of individuals, then you might have a shot.  That means taking shorter shifts (everyone!!!), keeping consistency in the lines, and keeping your heads up for good passing opportunities, not just dumping the puck.  Come on guys, step up and play right if you want to be in the playoffs!!!  This comes from the heart of a true Freeze fan.  See ya Saturday night 03/06/04 at 9:45pm for the next opportunity to kick some butt!  GO FREEZE!!!!!

02/23/04 Freeze vs. Marlies - 2/4:  Well, guys? Another loss? No comment! See ya at the next game on Wednesday March 3rd at 10:00pm.  Enough said!!!

02/14/04 Freeze vs. Ice Cats - 3/6: The Freeze were mauled by the Ice Cats last night due to a shortage of skaters (who obviously thought Valentine's Day superceded hockey) Go figure!  The Freeze had 7 skaters and a goalie; the opponent had 15 skaters and a goalie...so one can imagine how ugly that was!  Freezers were extremely winded by the end of the 1st.  Then Lorcan(24) got boarded by the GIRL on the Ice Cats...poor Lorcan!  Coco(39) made some good poke checks throughout the game but it just wasn't enough to stop the Ice Cat offense every time.  If the Freeze had more skaters, they could have prevented this beating,  but kudos to the Freezers who made the sacrifice and gave their all to play in this very unevenly matched game...Waba(3) with two goals, Jim(10) who skated hard the entire game despite being exhausted, Mark(11) who played his last game with the Freeze valiantly, Chris(20) with one goal, Lorcan(24) who took the girl out of the game for 2 minutes, Coco(39) who made a decent effort at defense, and Rob(77) with one assist and some good defensive plays. See ya'll at the next game on Mon. Feb. 23rd at 9:30pm

02/07/04 Freeze vs. Kings - 3/3: This game ended in a tie after OT.   Hogie(9) and Waba(3) were both thrown out of the game by the less-than-competent refs who need the lasic procedure to correct their vision so they can see more than   one color.  The whole game was one-sided by the refs.  Each of the goals scored by the other team were power-play goals.  I can not stress enough how horribly ref-ed this game was!!!  Oh well,  the Freeze have come through worse and will come back again.  Let's all keep our heads up and look forward to the next game which is on Saturday, Feb 14th at 9:15pm.  Come on Freeze and show us what you are made of!!!   GO FREEZE!!!!!

01/26/04 Freeze vs. Nighthawks - 2/6:  Sorry guys, I was not at this game; but evidently, I didn't miss much.  Add another loss up for the Freeze who got thawed out by the Nighthawks last night.  Hello!  Are you in there?  Hey Freezers!  Where are you?  "I am not sure who was skating last night, but I think they were all imposters" according to one member of the Freeze.  Ya'll have not had a slump like this ever since I can remember. You "were" a trophy-winning team, not to mention the "Stanley Clip" episode where you were kicking everyone's butts.  What happened?  Do you want to change or fix it?  You have just over 1 week to decide...are you winners or losers?????  Next game is Wed. Feb. 4th, 2004 at 10:15pm.

01/24/04 Freeze vs. Marlies - 3/4:  Come on guys!  The Freeze has now lost 5 out of the last 7 games!  What is the problem?  Can it be fixed?  Why won't some Freezers skate?  Why do others run their mouths and get put in the box to waste time and cause the team to be short for nothing other than "whiney, pay-attention-to-me, potty-mouth"?  Ok, enough venting for now.  Steve M.(4) scored the first goal for the  Freeze and Hogie(9) scored the other 2 goals of this game.  Mark(11) and Lorcan(24)  made their come-back debuts after a fighting suspension and recovering from injuries respectively.  All-in-all, every Freeze player needs to give more of an effort to skate harder, pass the puck more, skate shorter shifts, keep their mouth shut and their head up, as well as be team players.  You can do it!  LET'S GO  FREEZE!!!  Your next game is Monday Jan. 26th at 9:30pm.
